Review: Worth the drive to Sooke!
Excellent food--especially the Chicken Breast with Spinach and Feta in filo pastry which is served with a large mixed salad and a delicious garlicky Dijon dressing. The daily soup of yam and tomato was a delightful creamy blend that perfectly balanced the two flavours.
Outstanding desserts made on the premises--especially the pies which have the lightest , flakiest crusts and fillings without the addition of too much sugar that preserve the flavours of their fruit.
The room is bright with lovely prints on the walls and a beautiful etched glass window separating the non and smoking areas.
Before or after your meal visit the well-stocked bookstore which carries large sections of childrenžs, gardening and cooking books.
Parking in the front. Wheelchair and stroller accessible. Child-friendly with high chairs available.
