Review: Green Cuisine is a buffet-style vegetarian restaurant. You can heap up as much as you feel you want and then pay by weight. The food is uniformly delicious and top quality and includes salad-type fixings as well as a changing variety of hot dishes. Green Cuisine often serves samosas, rice pilaf, home fries, lasagna, shepherd's pie, tofu casseroles, etc. The dessert bar usually has fruit crumble, Rice Dream, and other yummies. The fresh fruit juices are delicious, though a little expensive.

The buffet concept makes this a great place to take kids because you can serve them as much or as little as they like of their favourite dishes. My family of five can stuff ourselves, including dessert, for under $40.

The atmosphere is friendly and the decor is bright and pleasant. Many, if not most, of the dishes are suitable for vegans or people with special dietary requirements (allergic to dairy, wheat, etc.). Some of the dishes may seem "weird" to non-vegetarians - yes, they serve tofu - but there are enough familiar foods like lasagna, fries, and so on that even the most thorough carnivore shouldn't feel totally uncomfortable.
